More responsible production
Hemp is an efficient and versatile natural fiber that requires relatively few resources to grow. It can produce large amounts of fiber per square meter and is cultivated without the need for pesticides, making it a more gentle choice in many contexts.
At Philbert, we work with a variety of materials and select them based on their properties, purpose, and potential – with hemp being one of the materials we value for its natural strengths.
Natural colors
Hemp fibers can be processed in different ways, allowing for natural color variations such as brown, grey, green, black, and cream – without the use of dyes. This means that the need for additional processing can, in some cases, be reduced.

What is vegan leather?
Vegan leather contains no animal-derived materials. It is a modern textile known for its durability, refined appearance, and versatility – offering a strong alternative to traditional leather.

Better results with less impact
Since the late 1980s, soy-based ink has become a widely recognized alternative to traditional petroleum-based inks. At Philbert, we use soy ink in our printed materials and packaging to deliver high-quality results while using fewer resources.
Soy ink produces rich, high-intensity colors with less ink, while also allowing for sharper details and clearer text. The natural clarity of soybean oil contributes to a clean and refined finish.
Lower emissions and improved recyclability
Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) are substances that can have a negative impact on both the environment and human health. Soy ink contains significantly lower levels of VOCs compared to conventional inks.
In addition, packaging and materials printed with soy ink are easier to recycle, as the ink can be removed more efficiently during the recycling process.

For example, the transparent “window” in our keyboard cover packaging is made from PET (polyethylene terephthalate) – a recyclable plastic known for its stability.
