Presenting Philbert on Dragon's Den was an exciting experience. I entered the program with great respect for both the format and the Dragons, and with a clear ambition to show what Philbert stands for: quality, sustainability, and thoughtfully developed products built to last.

The response in the studio was very positive. The Dragons appreciated both the concept and the products, and there was genuine interest in the business. It was a great recognition, one I am truly grateful for.

A Clear and Right Decision

After filming, I took time to carefully consider the opportunities ahead. Shortly before the program aired, I had entered into an agreement with a major distributor, who placed an order worth three times the amount I was offered as an investment. This changed not only the financial framework, but also gave me a realistic sense of what it truly takes to elevate Philbert to the next level.

Already the week after filming, I was fully immersed in everything that comes with a new distribution agreement: production, logistics, deadlines, and coordination. It was a major opportunity – but also extremely time-consuming. It quickly became clear that I could not take on more without compromising the balance of everyday life and the time I prioritize for my family.

That is why it was actually an easy decision to decline the investment. Not because the offer was not attractive, but because it became clear that Philbert was already on a healthy growth journey that required my full focus.

The Products Were Not Shown – But the Freedom Remains

Declining the investment unfortunately also meant that my products were not included in the final TV broadcast. Of course, that visibility would have been incredible – but that is simply part of the format.

What matters most is that today I am incredibly happy to stand with a company that I still own 100%.

It gives me the freedom to continue developing Philbert on my own terms, at a pace that makes sense, and with a clear focus on what matters most: integrity, quality, and a sustainable path forward.
