Philbert in Dragon’s Den

Presenting Philbert on Løvens Hule (the Danish version of Dragons’ Den) was an exciting experience.
I entered the show with great respect for both the format and the investors – and with a clear ambition to showcase what Philbert stands for: quality, sustainability, and carefully crafted products designed to last.

The response in the studio was positive. The dragons appreciated both the concept and the products, and there was genuine interest in the business. It was a moment of recognition for which I’m deeply grateful.

A Clear and Right Decision

After the recording, I took time to consider my options. Just before the episode aired, I signed an agreement with a major distributor who placed an order worth three times the investment I was offered on the show.
This didn’t just change the financial outlook – it also gave me a realistic sense of what it takes to elevate Philbert to the next level.

Already the week after filming, I was working around the clock to manage everything that comes with a new distribution deal: production, logistics, deadlines, coordination. It was a fantastic opportunity – but also incredibly demanding.
It quickly became clear that I couldn’t take on more without compromising the balance in my everyday life and the time I prioritize for my family.

That’s why, in the end, turning down the investment was actually an easy decision. Not because the offer wasn’t appealing, but because it was obvious that Philbert was already on a healthy growth path – one that required my full focus.

The Products Didn’t Appear – But Freedom Remains

Declining the investment unfortunately also meant that my products weren’t featured in the final TV edit.
Of course, that kind of exposure would have been amazing – but that’s part of the deal. And it doesn’t change the fact that today, I’m proud to stand at the helm of a company I still own 100%.

That ownership gives me the freedom to grow Philbert on my own terms, at a pace that feels right – and with a continued focus on what matters most: integrity, quality, and a sustainable way forward.
